Monash University Oaktree Foundation Volunteer Recognition Awardee for 2015
Monash University's 2015 Oaktree Foundation Volunteer Recognition Awardee is Fiona Canny!
Fiona is a recent graduate of Monash University and the Deputy CEO of the Oaktree Foundation.
She is the recipient of the volunteer award in recognition of the 4 years of volunteer work she undertook prior to becoming the foundations Deputy CEO in early 2015.
She has been called the backbone of the organisation and has been responsible for leading the Oaktree Foundation's strategic plan this year.
Fiona first joined Oaktree in October 2012, working on participant training and engagement for the 2013 Roadtrip to End Poverty.
Following that, she joined Oaktree's Executive Team as Head of Campaigns, overseeing Oaktree's social and political campaigning work and the 2014 End Poverty Campaign.
Fiona is deeply passionate about providing opportunities for young people to realise their potential to influence social and political change on the issues they care deeply about.
